WHAT THE !!!!!!

I love that I have Karley in dance and she really loves it but I must complain about how much it is right now. She is our only girl in dance so I had no idea how much it would cost. This studio wants money for everything. They even want the parents to buy a hot pink shirt so that the girls can wear it to rehearsal. Seriously! I just kinda laughed when she asked if I wanted it. I asked if she can just wear her own pink shirt because we have plenty of them. "Of course" she said "but the girls really love this shirt. They wear it all year long". Give me a break! Now I just found out that the parents can't record or take pictures at the recital. (Now for those of you who are easily offended look away now) What the HELL! I can not believe this. They don't want us to record or take pictures because they will be doing it and they want us to buy it from them for $40. Don't they know we are in a recession. After this recital we are done. I can not believe how much it is. Am I overreacting? Do all dance studios cost this much?

I haven't been very good at keeping up on my blog. I will try to be better at it. The key word is TRY. Actually a lot has happened. My grandpa died in April. It was unexpected. I thought I was going to see him again this summer. So I have had a hard time with it because I feel like I haven't really said goodbye. My grandma and grandpa moved up to Idaho a month before he died. That's where he wanted to be. He had a great life and was a loving grandpa. I will truly miss him. It was fun to see all my family though.

The day we left Idaho it was Olivia's first birthday. Not a great birthday. LONG drive! The day after we got home, I made a cake and we had a little celebration with our little family. I tried a different cake. Now I am not vegan but I make some vegan food. Maybe one day I will actually turn vegan. Anyways back to the story. So I made this vegan cake and I thought it would be great but it really wasn't. Even the baby didn't like it. She tried a few bites and then she just threw the whole piece on the floor. I didn't blame her. I wanted to do the same thing. But I am not giving up on trying new vegan recipes. (I know Ryan is not to thrilled to hear that). But it was nice to be home and have a celebration for Olivia.

Now we are just getting close to the end of the school year, which I am looking forward to. I am tired of rushing around every morning. I love summer time and the fun vacations. I know my girls are looking forward to summer too.
