School's Out For Summer!

Today was the last day of school. I have been driving my girls to school from Cypress for the last 7 days so I was really looking forward to this day. When I went to picked up the girls, I got a little sad. My girls have made some great friends there and had some great teachers. I started tearing up when I was saying goodbye to Karley's kindergarten teacher. Both girls have had her and we have really bonded. We hugged and started crying. I have also made friends with some other teachers as well. I could totally be friends with them outside of school. In fact I have two of the teachers phone numbers. Even the office ladies gave me a hug and said that they are sad we are leaving. I really felt the love. I really wanted to leave Chino and I still do but I will definitely miss some people there. Now on to the next adventure!

We've moved!

So we have moved! We put our house on the market thinking that it would take some time to sell it. It didn't! We put it on the market on a Thursday, had a open house on Saturday and an offer on Monday. We tried looking for a home but we couldn't find one that we wanted so needless to say we are living with my parents. I really didn't ever want to move back here but I really do appreciate that they are here. It will be harder on them because I am bringing 5 people into there home for who knows how long. So, much love to my parents! So now I am on a search for THE house. We haven't settled into one area which makes it hard. All I have to say is DAMN California home prices. Well... that's probably not all I have to say.

So Mckenna is such a smart and funny girl. She is my thinker and is always asking questions. So when April fool's rolled around, I knew she had something up her sleeves. When she wakes up before me, she will go into the living room and turn on the TV. Well I heard her get up but no TV. I kept hearing crinkling noises. So I got up to find her on a chair getting all of the cereal down. I asked her what she was doing and she looked at me startled. Then she started to get tears in her eyes. She then proceeded to tell me that she was trying to switch all the cereal bags into different boxes. She was crying because she got caught and I kinda scared her. I told her instead of crying just be bummed you got caught and try something else. I told her that was seriously a good idea. Where did she come up with that!

She then tried hiding the soap from Ryan. Which didn't work because he already took a shower. She finally got Ryan by switching the remotes so when he laid down to watch some TV, it wouldn't work. She was so happy to finally succeed at an April fool's joke.

Let's Play a Game

So Ryan and I were getting ready to go out for a date night. I was getting dressed and I put this top on and Karley (our 5 year old) comes in and says in a high pitch voice "Are you wearing that?" Then she said "Let's play a game. It will be fun too. How about you try on an outfit and I will tell you if it looks good." So I asked if the outfit I had on looked good and she just looked at me and said "mmmmm." I told her she could be honest and she said she did not like that outfit. So I tried on another and I got the thumbs up on it. Man, that little girl has more style in her little pinky finger than I do in my whole being. She cracks me up!

Mom, the T.V is bugging me!

So last week was a hectic week. I had one sick child and let me tell you it was not fun. So on Thursday as Mckenna was throwing up, I had to get Karley ready for school. Now Karley gets distracted really easily. Since Mckenna was on a break from yacking I turned on th T.V. for her. This was very distracting for Karley and I had to keep telling her to keep getting ready. After about the 4th time of me telling her to stop watching T.V. she said " Mom the T.V. is bugging me"! She was totally serious. Ryan and I started cracking up. I have never heard that excuse before. I am grateful for kids who make me laugh.
