Home Sweet Home!

The girls and I just got back from Idaho. It was a last minute trip. I really wanted to go this summer but it was hard to figure out. I was talking to my mom and she said "just come" and I did. We left a few days later. We drove for thirteen hours. It was hard at the end but I have to say the girls were really good. I know that I am crazy for doing it all in one day but I just wanted to get there. It was fun to be there. We didn't do anything big but we just enjoyed being in Idaho. It really is a beautiful state. The skies are beautiful. Life is slower there. I had to get used to it. After eight days I was ready to go home. The girls could have stayed way longer but not me . I missed my husband too much.

What is cuter than a chunky baby in a swimsuit?!

The girls started playing with my mom's makeup and then I just took it further and made them look like this. My favorite part is the uni-brows. They were cracking me up. After we were done, they were acting like models so I just started taking pictures.

I couldn't do the full 13 hours again on the way home so we stayed in St. George, Utah. We had a lot of fun there. We went out to dinner at Ruby Tuesday's and surprisingly it was really good food. Then we went to Neilson's Frozen Custard ( so good). We went to the St. George Temple. It is so beautiful. Ryan told me that his grandma and grandpa were married there. They lived in Los Angeles but that was the closest temple to them at the time. How cool! We also went swimming at the hotel. I was trying to wear them out so they would sleep good that night.

It was a fun trip but I am so glad to be home. Now I just need a vacation from the kids.

Mud Run!!!!

Last Saturday Ryan and I did a mud run. It was so much fun. I was really nervous and didn't sleep well the night before. I didn't know what to expect. I knew there was going to be mud but I didn't know how difficult the course would be. We had to jump walls and crawl through mud and then we tread through nasty smelling water and crawled in sand and then through more mud. It was dirty but it was awesome. I did the 5k this year. Next year maybe the 10k. All I know is that I will definitely be doing this again. Ryan stayed with me the whole time. Actually I told him to take off because I thought I was holding him back but once he saw the mud he waited for me because he wanted to see me get all muddy. It was so much fun to do this with Ryan.

Movie Night

Probably once or twice a month we have movie night. We set up a cozy spot for the girls, they love movie night. For a treat, we have popcorn with M&M's on the bottom. The trick is you want to put the hot popcorn on top of the M&M"s. The girls love this treat. This night we watched "Hotel for Dogs" - cute movie. We love movie night!

So Happy Together!!

Today is our anniversary. We have been married for 9 years. I can not believe how fast that time went. We were talking last night about what we were doing the night before we got married. I went out to dinner with a bunch of friends and we stayed the night at a hotel. He also went out to dinner but stayed in our new apartment by himself. We had a wonderful wedding day. We got married in the Los Angeles Temple and had our reception in Huntington Beach. It was an outside reception. It was so fun.

Here are some things that I love about Ryan:

- I love his smile
- love they way he treats me
- love how he treats our girls. He is a wonderful father.
- his love of cooking ( that was actually a requirement of mine before I married a guy)
- the way he provides for us. He works so hard so that I can stay home.
- he has an awesome laugh. It is seriously contagious.
- his muscles. I know that is superficial but I do love them.
- how he gets along with my parents. Sometimes my dad will just call him.
- I love that he is such a hands on dad. Our girls adore him.
- I love that he still finds me sexy after all these years.
- I love the way we talk in bed when it is quiet in the house. We have some great conversations.
- I love to experiment with my cooking and I love how he will try it even if it looks disgusting.
- I love that he is so patient.
- I love that he can have fun in pretty much any situation. He is still a kid at heart.
- Even knowing all my flaws, he still loves me

I am so lucky to have such an awesome husband. I have loved the first nine years of our marriage and I look forward to many more years. Thanks Ryan for treating me like a queen!

I Love LA!

I was shocked when I realized that I have been doing this blog for a year now. Time really does fly by.

We had a fun 4th of July. We spent time at my parents house. We ate and went swimming. It was nice and relaxing. Then we came home so that we could do fireworks. Fireworks are legal where we live but people assume they can just do the illegal one's also. We had some neighbors who lived next door do their illegal ones in their backyard. We kept seeing them go over our backyard. That irritated me. I love the 4th of July but I hate the people who are doing the illegal fireworks in our neighborhood. Enough of my ranting.

Today, Ryan took the day off work and we took the girls into LA to some museums. We went to see the museum of Natural History and the Museum of Science. They were both fun. I will admit though that there was one part in the Natural History museum that really bored me. It was all about birds. I know there are some people who love looking at all that but I was so over the bird section. Here are some pictures of our day.

Ryan wanted the girls to do this but they were too scared. So he did it. He is a kid at heart.

It was a fun day of just pure family time. I really enjoy hanging out with my family. They really just make my life more enjoyable.

So yesterday was my mom's birthday. She turned 63. I hope she does not mind me telling her age but she does not look like she's 63. She is the oldest of 6 children in her family and she looks younger than any of them. She knows how to take care of herself and has taught me the same. She really is a great mom. So yesterday we went to my parents house to have some fun. Three of my four brothers were there. We had chinese food from Panda Inn and then had a red velvet cake. It was fun just to hang out with family and swim. Here are some pictures of the festivities.

Mckenna has turned into our little dare devil.

Karley needs a few more swim lessons to feel confident. But she really loves being in the water.

I love getting together with my family. We really do enjoy eachother. Every year we get together for a week at a beach house in August. It is my favorite vacation of the year.
